King's Lane Training
Dr. James Holloway conducted a two-day seminar at King's Lane Elementary School for faculty and staff. King's Lane has been able to connect to the internet and provide computers thanks to the efforts of the NRTS project team at Tennessee State University.

The training included introductory level computer terms and familiarization with windows and using the keyboard and mouse. The trainees then progresses to the use of applications such as Microsoft Word, and e-mail. |

| The attendees were shown how to access the web browser and spent some time surfing the web and learning how to use search engines to find sites of interest. | ![]() |
| Once the users had learned how to navigate the web, they practiced writing individual web pages using Microsoft Word (since they were already familiar with that). Each person developed a small page that included text and some simple graphics and pictures. |
