Welcome to the TSU/NASA Network Resource and Training Site (NRTS), located in the Center of Excellence, Information Systems Engineering and Management at Tennessee State University. This NASA-sponsored project is administered through MU-SPIN. Please take a moment to read the MU-SPIN Mission Statement.

In keeping with the purpose of the NRTS project, the NRTS was established at Tennessee State University to provide interconnectivity and training on the use of the internet to students, teachers, and staff of educational institutions in the Mid-Southeastern States. TSU's NRTS is responsible for Region V in the overall plan.

Under the Expert Institute Concept, TSU has been designated as an Astronomy and Astrophysics Education Center. As a result of this designation five astronomy courses have been reactivated and an Astronomy Educator hired. These developments have been in close association with the on-going Explorers of the Universe Project.

With NRTS project support, the consortium partners in this region have all been able to establish and/or improve their networking capabilities. Click on the institution name on the location map to visit their web sites.

As a part of the NRTS project, an outline has been developed to serve as the basis for training relative to computers and their application. Click here to view this outline.

Take a look at some of the activities of the TSU NRTS:

A training lab has been remodeled and
equipped for NRTS related training,
especially in the area of internet usage
and World Wide Web browsing.
